A 10-week training course that teaches people how to be more caring and understanding. The course has three parts that help you learn compassion skills for yourself, with other people, and in groups. Each part is separated by a week break to think about what you learned. The class is small with only 20 people so everyone gets personal attention. You'll learn tools and skills to make positive changes in your life and help others too.

A free monthly meditation group that meets online for 30 minutes. Each session includes guided meditation, reflection time, and sharing with others. Different community leaders guide each month's session, bringing variety to the practice. Sessions happen on weekday afternoons and are open to everyone, whether you come every month or just when you can. You need to register once and will get the Zoom link each month. This is a welcoming space for people of all backgrounds to pause, breathe, and connect with others.
Project Kindness connects older adults (65+) with younger volunteers for meaningful conversations about kindness and life experiences. Seniors share their memories of kindness while building friendships with college students or other volunteers. The program helps fight loneliness and brings different generations together. Philanthropy New York helps foundation and nonprofit leaders learn about racial equity and change their organizations. They offer group learning programs, peer working groups, and trust-based philanthropy training. Members can join cohorts that meet regularly to learn together and get tools to make their organizations more fair and equitable. They also provide resources, recorded programs, and help connect members with racial equity consultants and training organizations.
This program teaches people who help others with money how to guide their clients in giving to charities. The training shows advisors how to help people find good causes they care about and give money in ways that save on taxes.
